Computex 2021 exhibition cancelled, digital events will take place instead

After having to scrap plans for a physical event in 2020, the organisers of Computex hoped to come back with a bang in 2021. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic is still on-going and as a result, there will be no onsite exhibition this year either.
Last night, the organisers behind Computex confirmed that the event would not return to normal this year after all:
“With another wave of coronavirus pandemic across the world, it doesn’t look like we are close to the end. The majority of the show’s stakeholders, including international exhibitors, visitors, and media, cannot join the show due to border control. Therefore, the organizers of COMPUTEX have decided to cancel the onsite exhibition this year.” ....

COMPUTEX Taipei is one of the largest PC conventions, where a lot of major and minor PC related companies showcase their new products and technological advancements. COMPUTEX Taipei also known as The Taipei International Information Technology Show takes place every year in Taiwan. The organisers in an official statement via the official COMPUTEX Taipei website have revealed that this year’s in-person event has been cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic and border control that affects the majority of the stakeholders, international exhibitors, visitors and media. Instead, just like most other tech shows the upcoming tech show will only be streamed online.
