Health firm wins final COVID challenge

NORTH ADAMS â Keva Health, of Lexington, bested five other firms, including a company from Stockbridge, to finish first Friday in the Connect Tech Innovation Challenge produced by the startup accelerator and innovation network Lever.
It was the fourth and final event in a series of COVID-19 challenges produced by Lever that focused on state companies developing products to help stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Edgi Learning, of Stockbridge, was one of the six companies that had been selected as a finalist for the competition.
Keva CEO and founder Jyotsna Mehta was awarded the $40,000 first-place prize bestowed on the winner of the final pitch contest, as determined by a panel of judges. Thrive Community, of Boston, received $10,000 for finishing second. ....

COVID 'Connect Tech' Challenge Seeks Innovators

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. Lever and The Innovation Institute at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative have announced the Connect Tech Innovation Challenge, the fourth in a series of innovation accelerator programs to identify and grow innovative solutions to challenges presented by COVID-19.
While previous editions of the Challenge series focused on individuals working on products at mature companies, the Connect Tech Innovation Challenge will focus on entrepreneurs and startups. Entrepreneurs will complete a six-week acceleration program to develop and grow COVID-inspired innovations that have potential to spark economic recovery and strengthen the flow of goods, services and information.

The Connect Tech innovations developed will enhance resiliency against future disruptions in industries including ecommerce, manufacturing, digital health, fintech, and edtech. ....

Axiomtek has announced its AIE100-903-FL-NX edge AI system. The box-level system is powered by the Nvidia’s Jetson Xavier NX module. The Xavier module sports a 6-core Nvidia Carmel Arm v8.2 64-bit processor and 384-core Nvidia Volta GPU architecture with 48 Tensor cores. The system is designed for AI computing and deep learning applications, such as behavior analytics, face recognition, and vehicle analysis.
