Electricity consumers have described it as a miscalculation, a move to sell about five independent power plants in the country.
The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), says it has pre-qualified 16 firms for the privatisation of five National Integrated Power Projects (NIPPs) in the country.
The five NIPP plants affected are Geregu, Omotosho, Olorunsogo, Calabar and Benin-Ihovbor.
