Bucharest (AFP) Aug 8, 2023 - Romania on Tuesday said it cancelled a tender won by France's Naval Group for building four warships after the two sides failed to sign any contract.
French defense industry group won the tender in 2019 to build four Gowind corvettes for 1.2 billion euros. But the contract was never signed, despite the desire of the two NATO countries to strengthen security in the Black Sea.
