In an escalation of its tiff with Canada, the Foreign Office here has advised Indians in Canada and those travelling to that country to exercise “due caution and remain vigilant in view of the sharp increase in incidents of hate crime, sectarian violence and anti-India activities” there.

The Ministry and the High Commission/Consulates General in Canada have
"Ministry of External Affairs and our High Commission/Consulates General in Canada have taken up these incidents with Canadian authorities and requested probe and appropriate action," it mentioned.
The government today cautioned Indian nationals in Canada and students heading to the country against what it called a "sharp increase in hate crimes, sectarian violence and anti-India activities" and urged them to "remain vigilant".
