What’s your go-to snack? Salty or Sweet? When I was a teen my go-to snack was both – Corn Chips and a Dr Pepper. Since then I’ve gravitated towards sweet snacks. I blame that on the holidays – Halloween fun-size chocolate bars, Christmas candy (especially chicken bones) , then Valentine’s Day when I get to enjoy those hard red cinnamony heart candies. Because of the carbs I try to stay away from potato chips, corn chips and taco chips these days but I still enjoy a good salty snack. I choose sweet, but there is a great compromise out there – salted caramel!!
In some form or another, we’re all picky eaters. Me personally? I hate most vegetables. I do my best to incorporate them into my meals but 80% of the time I say “screw it” and end up loading up more carbs. So, my “healthy” New Year’s Resolution is to incorporate a vegetable in at least two of my three meals per day. Doesn’t sound all that complicated, but trust me, it will be.
