WEST LORNE, ONT. As investigators work to identify human remains found inside a West Lorne apartment building Thursday, one family has begun the grieving process. Relatives of April Calcutt have taken to social media to express grief, shortly after an online plea requesting help. In an afternoon post on Facebook Wednesday, Tanya Lynn Summers, April’s sister, asked the public for assistance in locating April. In the post, she stated her sister was missing following a fire in West Lorne’s downtown. It began shortly after 7 a.m. in a two-storey century building. A single apartment unit was heavily damaged. WEST LORNE, ONT. A tenant says he went into the flames looking for his girlfriend during a Wednesday morning apartment fire in downtown West Lorne. Cornelius Deyle tells CTV News he was outside his Graham Road unit around 7 a.m. when his landlord arrived to say alarms were sounding in his unit. Deyle says he followed his landlord upstairs to alert his girlfriend. “There was thick black smoke; I couldn’t see much. And did my best to navigate through the apartment unable to see or breathe.
