The city is in the final stage of planning for the department, which includes looking at acquiring a vacant lot near Katheryn and San Mateo. The Kathryn Public Safety Center is one of a number of projects the mayor has in mind for the 2021 general obligation bonds. It calls for $7 million for the project.
