On a day the government opened up the
Covid-19 inoculation drive for senior citizens, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said the vaccine should be given to youngsters first.
When asked if he would get vaccinated, the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha told ANI, "I am above 70 years of age. You should give it (Covid-19 vaccine) to youngsters who have a longevity in life as opposed to me. I merely have 10-15 more years to live."

Registrations of the next phase of India's Covid-19 vaccination is slated to begin from 1 March and those who are eligible for the jab in this phase can self-register on the government's portal, Co-Win for the same, according to officials. India started its vaccination drive on 16 January. In the first phase, healthcare and frontline workers have been vaccinated.
