The Beaverton Police Department identified the person as 24-year-old Oliver Sevin Frazier-Savoy of Beaverton.
The crash happened shortly before 2 a.m. near the Nike World Headquarters.
Police said the deputy, responding officers and paramedics attempted life-saving measures but Frazier-Savoy died at the scene.
Police have said speed is not believed to have been a factor.
Their initial investigation, led by the Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Team, determined the deputy had been going through a green light with the collision occurred. The team is still investigating, police said Friday.
The deputy is on standard administrative leave pending an internal investigation. The deputy’s name hasn’t been released.

BEAVERTON, Ore. (AP) - Authorities have identified a pedestrian killed after being hit by an on-duty Washington County deputy who was driving early Thursday.
The Beaverton Police Department identified the person as 24-year-old Oliver Sevin Frazier-Savoy of Beaverton.
The crash happened shortly before 2 a.m. near the Nike World Headquarters.

The fatal crash took place early Thursday adjacent to the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton.
An on-duty Washington County Sheriff's Office deputy struck and killed an adult male pedestrian early Thursday, April 15, adjacent to the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton.
The names of the victim and involved deputy were not immediately released.
According to the Beaverton Police Department, at 1:53 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Southwest Murray Boulevard and Bowerman Drive on the report of a crash involving a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.
Officers learned a Sheriff's Office deputy traveling southbound on Murray in their patrol vehicle struck a pedestrian near the Bowerman intersection.

    BEAVERTON, Oregon (KPTV) — A pedestrian died early Thursday morning after being struck by a Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy near the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton.
Prior to 2 a.m., Beaverton police officers were called out to a crash at the intersection of Southwest Murray Boulevard and Southwest Bowerman Drive.
According to police, officers learned an on-duty deputy was traveling southbound on SW Murray in their patrol vehicle when they struck a man near the intersection of SW Bowerman.
The deputy, along with responding officers and paramedics, attempted life-saving efforts, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s identity has not yet been released.

Police investigating fatal pedestrian crash in Malden

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Malden Police Chief Kevin Molis have confirmed the victim from the fatal crash at Huntington Street in Malden on the afternoon of March 8 as Athena Hartwell, 86, resident of an elderly housing facility in the area.
The driver, a 28-year-old Malden man, has been cited for operation of a vehicle with a suspended license. The driver’s name is not being released at this time and a court date has not been scheduled.
The investigation is being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Malden Police and the Massachusetts State Police's Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
