July 9, 2021 The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the identities of the persons pictured in a burglary investigation. On Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 3:32 am, two suspects broke into the store at Camp Merryelande at St. George Island and stole the safe. The suspects also carried an AR-15 rifle. The suspects arrived and fled in a slate metallic Toyota Corolla driven by another suspect, while a fourth suspect served as a lookout. July 5, 2021 On Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 8:34 p.m. deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 39800 block of Golden Beach Road in Mechanicsville, for the reported single vehicle collision. Upon arrival deputies observed a minibike into a guardrail, and the operator of the minibike had sustained incapacitating injuries. Members of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and continued the investigation.
