Ron DeSantis Has a 2022 Competitor, and She's Maximum Cringe

(AP Photo/John Raoux)
Ron DeSantis may be a boss, but that’s not stopping Democrats from attempting to unseat him in 2022. Part of that is abiding in the delusion that Florida has somehow done worse than most states in regards to COVID. Reality tells a different story, but when has that ever stopped the left?
Enter Nikki Fried. You’ve probably never heard of her because she’s an inconsequential politician, but she’s as thirsty as they come, and running for governor in 2022 is just the flavor she likes. Yet, her strategy to get there, and to eventually win, seems rather suspect.

Kamala Harris Goes Full Cringe at COVID Presser, Personifies Being Out of Touch

I’m reliably informed that Kamala Harris is Vice President of the United States, though her notable absence from the public eye might leave one wondering. She was brought out of hiding today to announce the passage of the recent COVID-19 “relief bill,” and Harris quickly reminded everyone why we don’t see much of her these days.
Here’s her cringy performance, proclaiming “help” is on the way, like she’s about to run into a burning building and rescue a litter of cats.

Good news came out of Olympia last week, as well as Boise more than two weeks ago. COVID-19 vaccine availability has increased to the point where basically anyone who needs to get the jab can. It’s paid for as well, so in order to do my part to get back to normal — and I mean REAL normal — I…

Joe Biden has an awkward, flirty moment during a video conference event with health care workers in Arizona, during which he compliments one nurse for her youthful look.
Feb 9, 2021
AceShowbiz -
President Joe Biden has been called out online after an awkward moment during a video conference event with health care workers in Arizona on Monday, February 8. During the virtual conference, the president got flirty with one nurse who runs a vaccine site.
In the video, Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris had a virtual tour of the State Farm Stadium vaccination site in Glendale. The nurse, Brittney Hayes, had just finished describing the process for residents to get the Pfizer vaccine and how it is being called a "dose of hope" when the president praised her youthful appearance.

ABC News goes full Pravda: Our 'Papa-in-Chief' Biden is like Lincoln, healing the country by 'reclaiming facts, truth!'

(Natural News)
ABC News continued their cringeworthy, but predictable, fawning over the newly inaugurated Democrat President Joe Biden as his inaugural address concluded early this afternoon. Each ABC journalist and commentator did their best, with the assistance of chief anchor George Stephanopoulos to make sure to hammer home how iconic and transformative Biden’s words were for uniting the country, even comparing him to Abraham Lincoln.
(Article by Kristine Marsh republished from NewsBusters.org)
Shortly afterwards, Stephanopoulos gushed, “
Most of us will remember where we were when we heard Joe Biden take the oath of office, give his inaugural address.” A little while later to Chief White House correspondent, Cecilia Vega, Stephanopoulos fawned over Biden unifying the country. Vega also used her response to bash Trump and praise Biden as “taking” back “truth” and “reclaiming facts:”

ambassadorship may be going to a kennedy. a democratic source says caroline kennedy has been asked to serve as united states ambassador to japan. the source says she is being vetted. back in 2008, her early endorsement of barack obama was a major boon to his first campaign for president. she delivered itwith her uncle ted. check out this new picture of kevin ware, walking. just a day after he broke his leg at a very horrible injury. and it happened on live television. if you didn't see him get hurt, you're actually really lucky. it was one in which to cringe. it is very tough to watch. the reserve guard came down hard on his leg, snapping his shin bone. the bone broke through the skin and actually stuck out for all to see. it was so awful, of course, he screamed in pain, you're not going to see it in graphic detail, you can see the blurred

half of the african-american community and giving specific examples of saying that white women, when a black man fwgets an elevator, they cringe, hold their breath and grab their purse. guess what? i park in a parking garage. every time i walk in my car and we're in a staircase and there's a woman by herself she probably is nervous. i make sure i stay far behind her. that's not racial profiling. that might be a woman concerned because she's by herself. >> are you saying -- ben, is your point that what the president said was wrong or he just should have kept his mouth shut and said nothing? >> no. what i'm saying is for the president to come out and speak specifically for the african-american community and then to chastise white america saying you need to understand that when, you know, white women, when they're in an elevator, they're feterrified o black men -- >> how is that chas titising ves having one group of people understand another group of people's perspective? just asking. >> if it was about understanding you would have had a conversation instead of a

for redemption through election and i would say if you want redemption maybe you should go pray, maybe you should stop doing the wrong things you're doing. i'm not sure dragging the public through this scandal is the right way to go about this. >> from a woman's perspective in politics do you think the involved that huma, his wife has had, when she forcefully said he's made mistakes but i love and forgive him. is she what's keeping him in? >> i think it's a double edged sword. first of all had she not be there he would have been absolute toast and couldn't continue. her support is part of what is keeping him in there and i think she wants him to stay. also i think it's painful for women to see this. it makes all of us cringe and we're not happy at the fact that this man is putting this woman

with uma's and it looked like she was going to cry and she looked away. what do you make of this particular gesture? >> it could very well be that she was trying to hold back some emotion. you know, she is in the public spotlight, supporting her husband, but at the same time she has to deal with feelings of betrayal, right? and deceit. but she wants to be supportive. so, sure. when we turn away we're avoiding someone or something that has caused us pain. it's very natural to turn away. why? because when we look at that person who's caused us pain and humiliation, it brings it back up. it is almost a way to protect ourselves. think about when you see something we don't particularly like we kind of cringe and turn away from it. it is very natural. >> i want to -- i see you are shaking your head. when you have a marriage quite frankly when everybody says i want to get married, people, same sex married couple, i want to get married. but the vows do say for better

we know it's your videoconference of the day. hi! hi, buddy! that's why the free wifi and hot breakfast are something to smile about. book a great getaway now and feel the hamptonality welcome back, everyone. president obama spoke from the heart sharing his experiences with racial profiling. like being followed in a department store or walking along a street and hearing car doors lock, clicking, car door locks clicking and as you go by. this is very personal for african-american men, but the president's remarks drew fire from cnn political commentator ben ferguson, i want you to listen to this -- >> the president was incredibly specific today speaking on behalf of the african-american community and giving specific examples of saying that white women when a black man gets in an elevator they cringe, hold

california. why won't they go away? >> because they are arrogant and stupid and they think they are above the law. they have no common sense and no respect for women, including their wives in the case of anthony weiner who put her out in public to be a lamb let led to slaughter. it's cringe inducing for most women to see this going on. it's a distraction from the important issues that should be discussed in an election for new york mayor or the mayor of san diego should be doing. >> it is cringe-worthy. i agree. is this ego and power? >> look, anthony weiner i interviewed him just this last friday. and he thinks that he's got a chance and indeed hes does have a chance. it's not as good as it used to be to win a democratic primary and perhaps become the mayor. he is taking the best political shot he has ever had to be the

federal grant. they were murders, chronic offenders. you've got to give them some punishment for them to get it into their heads that they're not going to do it again. the fact of the matter, if there's no second acts in the american life, how do they get a second chance. are they going to do the right thing or is it more important? do we deserve more? do we deserve to be protected? i don't know there's anything out there that solves this debate with juveniles in way that would make us feel safe. >> it's distressing. you see that video and you want to cringe. >> you want to cringe. you want to cry. >> it happened in the courtroom. it's great to see you again. coming up, "around the world" will bring you the latest on the crisis in syria. we have reporters that are blanketing the region from great britain to washington to over next door and in syria.

>> do your husbands like you working full-time? >> a lot of republicans say if a republican said that the gop war on women would be out there again, fair call? >> that part is true. but look, it's joe biden, we have all gotten accustomed to this. it's like crazy uncle joe at the table that says things that make you chuckle, cringe, sometimes they're okay. we're used to it. we know this him being joe biden. >> i think governor christie broad broadened the list of things that you can say and get away with. obama had the experience where joe decided that his policy on gay marriage was going to change. >> they're genuine in two

and look at the media guide and what they're majoring in, it makes you want to cringe. the other thing that people can relate to out there, if you just listen to some of these athletes talk in interviews, your first response is what college did they go to? so this has been going on for a long period of time. not just at the university of north carolina, but this is particularly bad. >> so this doesn't shock you? >> no, not at all. listen, right here in atlanta, back in the early 1980s, the university of georgia had this huge scandal, it was called the jan kemp scandal. she was an english teacher and she exposed georgia for having a slew of football players who could not read or write. in other words, illiterate. so that was back in the early 1980s. here we go, fast forward to around 2000 to 2004. same university of georgia. another scandal.

oh, justin bieber. >> j.b. >> his legal troubles are reaching new heights, people, the faa is now looking into a flight that he took from toronto to new jersey. sources say bieber and his father were verbally abusive to the flight attendant who kept insisting that they stop smoking marijuana. >> apparently, there was a lot of weed on this plane. this is what the sources are telling us that the pilots had to wear an oxygen mask so they wouldn't get a contact high. >> what the hay is that. >> what the hay. cnn is following the developments. this is unbelievable. >> you hear justin bieber, we all kind of cringe when we hear his name. we never talk to him when he's singing, it's actually when he's doing things outside of his

and so much more are left hanging in limbo in such a public way. jeanne moos has more on the cringe worthy moment. >> reporter: kissing should be like riding a bike. you never forget how, but instead, it can get so awkward, watch when the italian who won stage two of the tour de france angles for the traditional kisses from the podium girls. the first one goes fine, but the second girl leaves him hanging, stuck pretending to fix his own collar. it's being analyzed in slow motion, looped in a six-second vine. but the cyclist is in good company when it comes to having his lips left in limbo. even former presidents end up in puckered up purgatory. the intended target was hillary. bill ended up kissing air while hillary wound up being kissed by then presidential nominee barack obama. >> oh! >> reporter: who himself has had his share of kissing mishaps

pelosi just announced she'll oppose it. >> i'm sure president obama will hear the same thing from the members of the congressional hispanic caucus today. i think he's hearing the same thing from senator menendez. there is this feeling that there needs to be some compassion shown to the kids. i don't think it's progressive latinos. when hillary clinton said that to cristiane amanpour. she was probably the first democrat to say these kids need to be sent back and the reaction amongst my latino friends and some of whom are leaders of national organizations and are big depp democr democrats and a big cringe and eye roll wondering who in the roll is advising hillary clinton because what her answer lacked was empathy and compassion towards these kids showing some heart. you can wrestle with this decision of what to do with the kids and there's a lot of hispanics and non-hispanic-americans that are wrestling about what to do with these kids. we understand they're being

she needs to go in and fight for every vote and say look, i'm not taking this for granted. in 2007 her video said i'm in and in to win. that's not her message this time. a lot of her addvisors look at that and cringe that they let it go out the gate. at the same time i don't look at polls you put up. there are potential contenders. right now she's miles ahead of them. happy trails to iowa. welcome to cnn. thank you very much. coming up next storm chasers take us inside the heart of the tornado outbreak in illinois. we'll share the video from these storms. also ahead, 30 years on death row. a man wrongly convicted gets his first taste of freedom. we'll talk to him live about that. stay with me.

a member of the foreign relations committee. we saw the commotion, the uproar in the aftermath of jeb bush sort of mangling that question. yesterday, when he was on fox news he had some serious problems just addressing that question as well. was he not prepared for the question? >> he was prepared. i think it was a struggle in fairness on both sides. it was a three-minute exchange in total. and if you watch the whole thing, it was cringe worthy in general because they were kind of stepping all over each other. and i think that's fair to say both of them. but on marco rubio's point, he is the guy running for president. he is required to answer questions. and what chris wallace at fox news is trying to get out of him was something that is very specific but very important, which is what jeb bush got tripped up on. knowing what you know now, would you go into iraq. his answer was no. but just a few months ago, also on fox, he was asked was the iraq war a mistake.

without pan dering or focused group tested answers. you will get what i think whether you like it or not. >> reporter: to be sure cringe worthy moments made him a star. >> you maximized your tan. get off the beach. sit down and shut up. >> this sharia law business is crap. >> reporter: there is another unfiltered colorful character in the field. >> politicians are all talk and no action. it's true. it's all talk. it's all [ bleep ]. it's all talk. i'm not using donors. i don't care. i'm really rich. we have stupid people. we have people that don't know what they're doing. >> reporter: and though christie raced to the first primary state of new hampshire to set up camp for free wheeling town halls, donald trump was there too. >> our country is honestly going to hell.

president of the united states as a surerogate of being elected prom king of america. >> a successful republican governor and a blue state dimmed dramatically thanks to the bridge gate scandal and new jersey's economic problems. the comeback plan is candor. >> a campaign without spin or without pandering or focus group tested answers, you're going to get what i think whether you like it or not or whether it makes you cringe every once in awhile or not. >> to be sure cringe worthy moments made christie a national star. >> you maximized your tan, get off the beach. >> sit down and shut up. >> this sharia law business is crap. >> for christie there is another unfiltered character already in the gop field. >> politicians are all talk and no action it's true. it's all talk it's all [ bleep ]. it's all talk -- [ cheers ] >> i'm not using donors.

thax, plans to evict the family on thanksgiving. number two, donald trump has hissed off so many mexicans he's starring in a new movie entitled "no amigos." the number one interesting fact about donald trump, thanks to donald trump, the republican mascot is also an ass. there you go. >> so trump may be comedy gold for david letterman but he's also making some of his fellow republicans and fellow republican candidates cringe, but is trump just saying what others are thinking? let's talk about it with cnn political commentator and jeb bush shorrer anna navarro and jeffrey lord who worked in the reagan white house and now a contributing editor to the american spectator and a supporter of mr. trump. jeffrey thank you so much for coming back in. >> thanks for having me. >> of course. donald trump is drawing big crowds over the weekend. he's not backing down. he's sticking with his stance on

we say that donald trump is number two in the polls and he is. and i agree with that because that makes him somewhat legitimate even though a lot of us cringe at the idea of even saying that let's put it in context, guys. there's 14 declared candidates right now. being number two in the polls means having 10%, 12%. it's not like he's at 40%. >> how do you explain how he's leap frogged the over people? >> he's entertaining. he's a celebrity. let's remember what the republican primary was like in 2012. there was a time when rick sanatorium -- he is like watching a horror show the kind of thing i want to watch through fingers in front of my face. i've been fighting with donald

he had every right to correct people on his gun record. i don't think he's being completely honest about his stance. but he has done it in a way that doesn't reinforce the narrative about him. post bridge-gate, we need a warmer and fuzzier chris christie. not to make it into the top ten but into a competitive race here. >> chris christie said he will say things that will make his supporters cringe. and again, he's a tell-it-like-it-is candidate. marc lamont hill and lisa boothe, thank you both. we'll have new insight into the race for 2016. polling out for the republican and democratic presidential races. it starts with "inside politics" at 8:30 right here on cnn. meanwhile, ka candlelight vs

federal case here? is that officer, that school district, are they in trouble? >> well, the federal case has been filed and it's very interesting because i'm used to handling excessive force cases involving the police or wrongful conviction cases where you see what we call a 1983 federal action. that's the action that's been brought here on behalf of the child saying that this was an excessive use of force by someone who's employed by the state in violation of the child's constitutional rights. and i think from this film we all cringe when we see that child really in pain, i think, with those handcuffs behind him. the real issue, though, are the permanent damages. you've got to prove two things in a lawsuit. one, that you were damaged and that those damages have some permanen permanence. i think that may get into problems. hard to prove this will scar him for life. >> so, kelly, i think there are two different schools out there watching this right now, the parents who don't have children who are special needs and aren't traumatized themselves in trying to raise special needs kids who can be horrifyingly painfully

i'm going to give her the world and more. but either she did this thing or she stood by and watched this thing happen or didn't report her daughter missing for three months. those are the choices we've got. none of them are very good. so those facebook postings are going to come into evidence and they are heartbreaking. >> the 3-year-old girl found washed up three months ago in a trash bag, nancy grace, thank you for joining me. i appreciate it. coming up on cnn, donald trump under fire for what he did not say. the white house responding last hour to the cringe worthy comment made at a trump rally. a supporter calling president obama a muslim and trump did not correct him. michael will weigh in, coming up next. also will bowe bergdahl be charged with desertion. that question being dissected right now. the prosecution says bowe bergdahl spent weeks planning to

when he's been bumped and bruised, he's recalibrated and adjusted. if you're establish the republican and don't like donald trump, you're not so opposed to this conversation. if they are having a conversation which taxes to cut, what about spending? about government reform? which agencies would you eliminate? republicans are happy to have donald trump in the middle. they would prefer that than talking about birthright citizen ship or building a wall. so on this issue, donald trump is more main stream in the republican party and the party is welcoming this debate and on others, he makes them cringe. >> thank you so much. john king stick around a bit longer. i want your take on new polls with potentially big implications for donald trump, also, joe biden. and more from erin burnett's conversation with donald trump including how he would handle vladimir putin and speaking of vladimir putin, more on his face-to-face meeting with president obama that just wrapped up after one of the non-toastiest toasts ever caught on camera.
