The residents expressed their gratitude for the efforts made by the Chairman of Mahadevapura Task Force for Environment and the president of Force GW, Lingaraj Urs and Panchayat officials to rejuvenate the lake. Doddabanahalli Panchayat president Anil Kumar M stated that the lake was full of weeds and garbage, with few birds visiting, making it unsafe for residents. “I am very happy with the rejuvenation of the lake,” said Anil Kumar.
Locals say the structure has come up over the last two weeks. They highlight that while no tourism activities are allowed in the core areas of a tiger Reserve, this development establishes that rules and guidelines are being violated.
