A year after the explosions in Chempark Leverkusen the danger remains
One year ago, on July 27, 2021, one of the chemical industry’s worst industrial accidents in recent history occurred at Chempark Leverkusen, north of Cologne. Seven workers died in the explosion of a tank farm for the disposal of chemical waste.
