Ngunnawal elder Caroline Hughes reflected on the thirst for knowledge and ability to engage in language at the event, calling it heartwarming and overwhelming. Last November, YWCA Canberra submitted a development application for a small-scale housing project in Ainslie. The 10 single-storey units are intended for women caught up in the housing crisis, and have now been approved by the ACT planning authority.
