Alexkor, the state diamond mine at the mouth of the Orange River, "has been destroyed by corruption and state capture", its miners say.

Homa Games, a startup mobile developer, and publisher, has raised $50 million in a financing round for Series A under the direction of venture capital fund Northzone. French mobile game start-up has been a success, securing in the top 20 most downloaded games on the App Store and Play Store in eight days or less.

Mobile developer and publisher Homa Games has raised $15 million in a seed round led by private equity and VC firm Idinvest Partners, and VC fund E.ventures. VC fund OneRagtime and business angels also participated, including former Vivendi CEO Jean-Marie Messier, former general manager for data products at Unity John Cheng, Carlyle Europe Technology Partners' MD Vladimir Lasocki, and Zenly co-founder Alexis Bonillo.
