Johnny Young has come out swinging against Daryl Somers' claim that Hey Hey It's Saturday was Australia's longest running variety show.
In an interview with TV Tonight, the former TV host , 74, said that title should go to his former program, Young Talent Time.
'Daryl claims that Hey Hey was the longest running variety program. It wasn't because halfway through his run on Channel Nine, he left and went to Channel 10.

Home and Away's Ada Nicodemou took home the title of the Dancing With The Stars champion back in 2005.
And on Sunday, the 43-year-old actress confirmed she will be returning to the dance floor on this year's all-stars reboot of DWTS on Channel Seven.
'When they first approached me... I thought that maybe I actually didn't have it in me. I'm 43 now and I thought maybe I was too old,' she told The Sunday Telegraph.

Seven Network confirms an 'all stars' version of Dancing With The Stars will hit TV screens in 2021

Seven Network's Programming Director Angus Ross said in a statement on Sunday that he was 'delighted to welcome [Dancing With The Stars] home' as it was 'one of the most successful television formats in the world'.
'Next year's special season will bring back some of the big names and personalities from seasons past in a brand new format, plus several other surprises that we will reveal shortly,' he said.
