Sentai Streams ‘Tonari no Seki-Kun’ Anime Trailer With a home video release out back on April 12th, 2016, and a new edition out back in 2020, one of my favorite shows from the past couple of years has now finally had its trailer streamed with Tonari no Seki-Kun: The Master of Killing Time. Sentai Filmworks has had fun with this show for a few years but the trailer only existed on other home video releases, which has now been fixed. The series had DVD and Blu-ray editions originally but only the Blu-rays are still being sold and it’s still on HIDIVE for streaming as well.

Sarah Wiedenheft as Yashiro Satoshi Kuwabara is directing it based on the scripts from Keiichiro Ochi. Shizue Kaneko is on board for character designs with Tezuka Productions handling the animation production. Akari Kito will play Adachi while Miku Ito will play Shimamura. The newly added cast includes Manami Numakura as Hino, Reina Ueda as Nagafuji, and Iori Saeki as Yashiro Chikama. The novels began in 2013 with Non handling the illustrations and eight volumes are out as of the announcement; Seven Seas Entertainment has picked up the novels for release beginning summer 2020. The Typhoon Noruda project was a really neat one that’s like a mix of a short film and OVA that delivered a great visual experience back in 2015. It certainly captured elements of a typhoon hitting Japan in the more rural side well and what can happen. Sentai released this on home video previously and has it streaming on HIDIVE but they never released a trailer for it to their YouTube channel, which they’ve now corrected.
