The group while appreciating the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammed Ali for wading into the matter, said the Police must use the case to show that it stands for equity and justice.
Its Spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, told newsmen on Wednesday in Warri that the suspect was nabbed by a combined team of the Police, Department of State Service (DSS) and Operation Delta Hawk.
The cause of the explosion at the tank farm is yet to be confirmed.
The Delta State command of the Nigeria Police Force says its operatives killed two suspected kidnappers in the Warri South Local Government Area of the state. A statement on Tuesday by the Delta Command's spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, also revealed that an AK-49 rifle with a locally made gun and cartridges were recovered from the deceased kidnappers. Edafe said the killing of the kidnappers was sequel to an arrest of the kidnap gang's member on December 24, 2022 by operatives of ‘B’ Division Warri patrol team at about 2300hours.
