New Delhi: Officials announced on Wednesday that the Indian government is expected to hand over Air India to the Tata Group on Thursday, nearly 69 years after it was taken from the conglomerate.
"Welcome back, Air India," Tata Sons wrote in a tweet on Thursday as the group took over the administration of Air India.
After a competitive bidding process, the government had on October 8 last year sold Air India to Talace Private Limited for Rs 18,000 crore.
