Home prices in major Chinese cities continued to cool in September as sales declined, but industry observers remained upbeat as recent policies of financial regulators, they said, will combine with measures introduced by local governments to accelerate market recovery in the fourth quarter of the year.
A number of Chinese cities saw pre-owned home transactions recover during the weeklong National Day holiday, while urban new-home sales remained tepid. But experts said that with policies gradually taking effect and home buying sentiment turning stronger, the sector is likely to stabilize in the fourth quarter.
Ample room remains to maneuver the real estate market into a virtuous cycle, said experts.
