More than 22000 employees of Jammu and Kashmir stopped working for three days forcing authorities to agree to their demands. The strike was the first major confrontation between the administration and the employees because the latter insist that some of the decisions being taken under unbundling of the power sector are neither in the interest of Jammu and Kashmir nor the employees serving the five power corporations.
