Finding the glory of God all around us and our lives each day is what our focus should be, to glorify Him in all we do, even in the midst of chaos and ostensible confusion; we need to find the small blessings He places within our grasp. Child of God, we, too, have such a place. If we stick with the journey, we’ll enter into a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens, in a city whose builder and maker is God. The Lord Jesus has already gone ahead of us and has prepared our place, and one day our faith shall become sight. So I urge you to stay on course, travel the winding roads, and climb the rough side of the mountain because, in the end, when we reach that beautiful shore, we’ll be able to utter the hymn penned by Fanny Crosby:

Finally, when we proceed from a right relationship with God, self and loved ones, we are connected to our wider self – the community in which we live (and even globally). This means we cannot simply bury our heads in the sand and ignore our commitment to peace and justice, and that we are not merely concerned about the welfare of our own, but others as well. We plant seeds that others may water. Ultimately, good comes from it.

Accepting one’s call to ministry is embarking upon a life changing journey. Everyday there will be something to learn and the challenge to become a better, balanced, spiritual individual and leader. You’ll have the rewarding experience of helping others conquer challenges and become their best selves through their spiritual journey.
