Music composer Shravan Rathod of Nadeem-Shravan duo died of Covid-19 complications in Mumbai's S L Raheja Hospital on Thursday evening. The veteran musician was diagnosed with Covid-19 recently and he had multiple medical problems. He was kept on ventilator support. Confirming the news, Dr Kirti Bhushan of Raheja Hospital said that the cause of death is cardiomyopathy with multiple organ failure due to Covid-19. Several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to pay tribute to the late composer.

His son, Sanjeev Rathod, said that the late musician had complained of breathlessness on returning from the mela in Haridwar. Later, both of them tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Shravan and music director Nadeem Saifi were a popular composer jodi of the 90s. The duo was popularly known as Nadeem-Shravan.

Shravan Kumar Rathod, of the popular composer duo Nadeem-Shravan, died on April 22, due to COVID-19 related complications. The popular music composer had tested positive after he and his wife came back from the Maha Kumbh Mela a few days ago.
Now, singer Udit Narayan, a dear friend of Shravan Rathod and who has worked on many romantic hits with the duo, said that he had spoken with the late composer when he was at the Kumbh.

Hours after the tragic death of composer Shravan Rathod, of the Nadeem-Shravan duo, there were reports of his body being held by the hospital over a Rs 10 lakh bill. 
Now, in an official statement, an associate of SL Raheja Hospital, Mahim-A Fortis has denied the reports and termed them false. The statement read as, "With profound grief, we share the news of the passing of music composer Shravan Rathod, of the Nadeem-Shravan fame. As we offer our condolences to the bereaved family, we remain in touch with the family to offer support that may be required in these difficult times. In conjunction with the family, we refute all false claims about holding back the deceased for payments; unverified stories based on hearsay further aggravates the pained family. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family."

Shravan Kumar Rathod, of the popular composer duo Nadeem-Shravan, is critically ill and in hospital. The composer had recently tested COVID-19 positive. Shravan is critical because he reportedly has co-morbidities but his condition hasn't deteriorated after admission to the hospital, as per Film Information. He is currently in Raheja Hospital, Mahim, Mumbai.
Nadeem-Shravan are widely regarded as the musicians who brought back melody in the early nineties with 'Aashiqui', their superhit soundtrack of 1990. The frequent collaborations with Kumar Sanu resulted in a series of musical successes through the nineties, including 'Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin', 'Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke', 'Saajan', 'Phool Aur Kaante', 'Sadak', 'Deewana', and 'Pardes'.
