A proposal to turn a guesthouse B&B near Gorey into a Direct Provision centre will not now proceed, a Wexford Senator has confirmed.
Over 120 people attended a packed venue in Gorey’s Ashdown Park Hotel on Monday night to hear that the infrastructure at St Therese’s B&B in Mount Alexander is not sufficient to cope with up to 50 international protection applicants in a proposed Direct Provision (DP) centre.
