NFR: NFR to Make Railway Stations Disabled-Friendly in Guwahati | Guwahati News
The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will soon make railway stations ‘divyangjan friendly’ to cater to the needs of disabled people. Measures to enhance accessibility for people with disabilities include providing public announcements in sign language, parallel captioning for the hearing impaired, installation of standard illuminated signage, and braille signing for the visually impaired. Ramps with double-height handrails and round grips will be installed at the entrance and exit points of railway stations.
