Soundararajan, a resident who lives near Doddakallasandra Lake, said that the dog menace has remained the same for the past year. “At the initial stage itself, I pointed out the big gap at the bottom and the chances of dogs’ entry into the lake. It escalated to BBMP officials, but there was no response. Many seniors and kids are afraid to walk on the walking track since there are more than 10 dogs.

Lake transformed into delightful bird refuge

The rejuvenation of Doddakallasandra Lake can be traced back to Justice NK Patil’s report commissioned by the Karnataka government in 2012. The report aimed to breathe new life into water and ecological security throughout the state. Covering an expansive 21.16 acres, the lake’s restoration was undertaken by the BBMP a few years ago, with residents actively participating in improving its conditions.
