Ex-minister's Rolex auction records RM130k

THE auction of a Rolex watch belonging to the former minister in the Prime Minister’s Depart­ment (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri (pic), recorded the highest bid of RM130,000 as of Monday night, according to Malay daily Sinar Harian.

No 'third gender' for Malaysia, says minister

The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) said this was similar to how Malaysia does not acknowledge the LGBTQ (lesbians, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) community.
He said that the government's stand had to be emphasised when delivering his message during an online conference with members of the Third Gender Implications Research Committee.
"My principle is arguments need to be answered with arguments. So, a thorough argument needs to be put forward," he said in a Facebook post on Friday (June 25).
Zulkifli said the conference was organised by the Department of Islamic development Malaysia (Jakim).
In February, Zulkifli was reported to have said that Malaysia rejected the foreign policy of the United States' new administration that promoted LGBTQ rights.

PETALING JAYA: After courting flak over a viral video on social media, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri has explained that his trip to Saudi Arabia was fully sponsored by the Muslim World League.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday (April 13), Zulkifli also refuted allegations that he sat on a private jet, saying that he took the commercial flight by Saudi Airlines.
"God-willing, many have asked me before making any assumptions. I pray that the current Ramadan will be able to educate our souls in the direction that is blessed by Him.
