New Delhi: The Election Commission will launch the Electors Photo Identity Cards (e-EPICs) on Monday to enable voters to download the electronic version of e-EPICs on the National Voters Day. Minister for Law Ravi Shankar Prasad would launch the programme by giving e-EPICs to five youths.
"Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will launch the e-EPIC programme and distribute e-EPICs and Elector Photo Identity Cards to five new voters," the Election Commission said on Sunday.
The e-EPIC will be a non-editable PDF of the EPIC that can be stored on the DigiLocker app or printed from a computer. The e-EPICs are in addition to physical IDs being issued for fresh registration.
