APAAR, which stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry, is envisioned as a special ID system for all students in India.
Each individual will possess a unique APAAR ID, linked to the Academic Bank Credit (ABC), a digital repository housing information about the credits earned by students throughout their educational journey. With the APAAR ID, students can digitally store all their certificates and credits, whether obtained through formal education or informal learning. When a student completes a course or accomplishes a milestone, it receives digital certification and is securely stored by authorized institutions.
