Hundreds of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters in Rivers State are currently protesting against President Bola Tinubu’s intervention in the political crisis rocking the state.    The protesters, who stormed the Government House, Port Harcourt, in solidarity with the state governor, Siminilayi Fubara, on Friday, rejected President Tinubu's peace resolutions. They described the President’s intervention as unjust and dictatorial.  

"All the structures erected around him to keep him in a permanent lackey position had begun to give him nightmares."

Falana had said Tinubu's intervention could only have been advisory as he had no constitutional role to intervene in states' political affairs.

Sule Lamido, a former Governor of Jigawa State, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership is docile for allowing President Bola Tinubu to use the Rivers State political crisis to enhance the fortunes of his own party, the All Progressive Congress (APC). Lamido, who made this known in a statement posted on his official Facebook page, noted that the PDP lacked action in the crisis plaguing Rivers State.
