A meeting between Efling Union and the Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise with the acting state mediator ended just after midnight.
The Confederation of Icelandic Enterpris’s (SA) work ban on Efling members has now been approved, but this was announced yesterday.
The Board of Directors of the Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise (SA) has unanimously agreed to propose to its member companies to impose a total workban on Efling Union, and a vote on the proposal will begin today.
“This is a conclusion taken jointly by the Efling Union negotiation committee because we believe we can make progress here this weekend,” says Efling chairperson Sólveig Anna Jónsdóttir after it was announced that the negotiation committees of Efling and the Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise had reached an agreement on postponing the ongoing strikes.
