Local Buddhist parents frustrated as child desires nothing for Christmas
December 16, 2020 NORTH DELTA – Local parents Leonard Durry and Evan Takada, practising Buddhists and parents of Avyda Durry-Takada, age 8, have been stymied by their daughter’s total lack of interest in receiving gifts for Christmas. “I grew up with presents under the tree,” said Durry. “It’s not a religious thing for us, obviously, but it is a nice tradition to wake up to and be excited in the morning.
