It was genuine love. i remember during his white house years, he went and eulogized a guy name woodrow willoughby who was a white house elevator operator that most people didn't pay any attention and or mind to. he went out to the south and attended his funeral, because he had really become family. i was able to be with him in 1992 when he went to the houston astrodome to deliver his speech for reelection as president. and ride with him in the car. but that's not what i remember. what i remember is he wouldn't leave a room because a spouse of a staff member had cancer. all his advisors were si...
