J&K Bank has launched two mobile branches called 'J&K Bank on Wheels' in Ladakh to extend banking services to remote and unbanked areas. The mobile branches will provide general banking services like account opening, cash withdrawals, cheque deposit, and mobile and e-banking services. Lieutenant Governor Ladakh Dr (Brig) B D Mishra inaugurated the two mobile branches at the iconic Leh Gate. J&K Bank Managing Director and CEO Baldev Prakash said the mobile branches will cover unbanked areas and take care of all banking needs.
