Plans to extend a city college in order to create a workshop for engineering students have been approved. Derby College submitted £3.5m proposals to expand the rear of its Stephenson building at the Roundhouse campus at Pride Park earlier this year. It said the two-storey motor vehicle facility, due to open in September, would become a "critical part" of supporting students in higher-level technical development.
The Graduate Student Council heard updates from Residential and Dining Enterprises at their Tuesday meeting.
The training will upskill students to enhance their coding skills completely free of cost.
According to reports, IT service firms have been hiring less than half of the freshers they hired last year. Companies such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys and HCL have considerably reduced their intake.
The goal was to turn “very small movement into continuous energy."
