Rundown school left to fall apart — barely 100m from EC education department's head office
In the shadow of the Eastern Cape’s education headquarters lies a badly dilapidated school that, despite its proximity to the department that funds and runs it, has been unable to have repairs done to properly serve its pupils. Xolani Senior Secondary School has among the worst infrastructure of the province’s schools — its buildings are horribly run down and it lacks proper sanitation facilities.
