The Chair of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras (SGLMG) Board, Giovanni Campolo-Arcidiaco, has resigned. 

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras (SGLMG) members have voted to cancel the Mardi Gras Police Accord and abolish the controversial decency inspections. At the December 9 SGLMG Annual General Meeting (AGM), an amended motion six, which removed the sentence calling for police abolition, but cancelled the Police Accord, was approved.

Queer activist group Pride in Protest, has proposed motions for the upcoming Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras (SGLMG) Annual General Meeting (AGM) calling for a cease-fire in Gaza, as well as refusing to accept any funds from backers of the Israeli occupation.

Activists are rallying in Sydney’s Inner West over the weekend for the Trans Day of Resistance, a national day of action for trans communities.

The NSW Government will delay the ban on gay conversion practices till next year, to allow more time for additional consultations with conversion survivors.
