Former Socceroo Erik Paartalu has revealed he has been confined to a hotel for the past seven months due to the COVID-19 crisis in India.
Paartalu, who played two matches for the Socceroos in 2013 as well as a 119 caps in the A-League for the Brisbane Roar and Melbourne City as well as stints across the world, plays for Bengalaru in the Indian Super League.

New Delhi, April 30 : Australian cricketers may face trouble getting back home and could be left stranded after reports of their country's federal government mulling hety fine and jail term for those returning from India came out in the local media.
"The federal government is considering fining and jailing anyone who tries to enter Australia from India amid that country's Covid-19 crisis," said a report in the Sydney Morning Herald (SMH).
As many as 14 Australian cricketers are currently in India playing the Indian Premier League (IPL). These include top draws David Warner, Steve Smith and Pat Cummins.

New Delhi, April 30 : Australian cricketers may face trouble getting back home and could be left stranded somewhere after their media reported that Australian government was mulling hefty fine and jail term for those returning from India, which is reeling under unprecedented surge in Covid-19 cases.
"The federal government is considering fining and jailing anyone who tries to enter Australia from India amid that country's Covid-19 crisis," said a report in the Sydney Morning Herald (SMH).

Panaji : , April 13 (IANS) Bengaluru FC will have to shrug off the disappointment of finishing seventh in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2020/21 season when they take on a committed Nepal club, Tribhuvan Army FC, in the AFC Cup Preliminary Round 2 match in Bambolim, Goa on Wednesday.
Tribhuvan Army FC are coming into the tournament on a high after beating Sri Lanka Police SC 5-1 in their Round 1 clash last week to set up a date with the Sunil Chhetri-led side, who had emerged champions in the 2018/19 ISL.

Bambolim : , April 9 (IANS) Hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, Bengaluru FC will have their task cut out when they take on Nepal club, Tribhuvan Army FC, in the AFC Cup Qualifiers (Preliminary Stage Two) at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim on April 14.
The Nepal outfit defeated Sri Lanka Police SC 5-1 late on Wednesday to set up a clash with the Sunil Chhetri-led team, which recently announced that three of its players had tested Covid positive.

PANAJI: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has suggested to Bengaluru FC that it would be better to play their playoffs behind closed doors at the GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolim.
The preliminary stage 2 clash will be played between Bengaluru and the winners of Tribhuvan Army FC (Nepal) and SL Police SC (Sri Lanka) on April 14.
Should Bengaluru cross that hurdle, they are drawn to play the winner of the second preliminary stage 2 match between Abahani Dhaka (Bangladesh) and the winner of Club Eagles (Maldives) and Thimphu City FC (Bhutan) on April 21.
