Senior Government and security officials including Ministers, senior military officials (Major General - Lieutenant General), Members of Parliament and representatives of political parties from the Republic of South Sudan have come to Rwanda to participate in the Senior Leadership Post-Conflict Peacebuilding, Reconstruction and Stabilisation Course in Musanze District that running from 29th Nov to 3rd Dec 2021.

The forum was created after the 2018 peace agreement between President Salva Kiir, his former deputy Riek Machar and other armed groups.

The arms embargo imposed on South Sudan has limited the country’s ability to procure arms for troops in training camps, said President Salva Kiir Monday.
