EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A new process is in place for parents to voice concerns to the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation administration and school board. The change allows for more conversation.It is a move made several months ago but paused when the pandemic hit.
It was back in March of last year when the school system decided to shift to this new style of public comment. But then COVID hit, and they were canceled. Monday, the town hall type meetings are back on.

Lincoln Town Election: New names, one contest

There will be some new names on the Lincoln Town Election ballot this year, but only one contest.
Brianna Doo and Evan Gorman are running for a three-year term on the Parks and Recreation Committee. The seat is being vacated by Sarah Chester.
The following candidates will also be on the ballot.
Incumbent Jennifer Glass is running for a three-year term on the Board of Selectmen.
Incumbent Susan Taylor and John Maclachlan are running for School Committee. Peter Borden is stepping down. There are two open seats.
Heather Cowap Salemme, of Lincoln and Mary Warzynski, of Sudbury, are running for two three-year terms on the Lincoln-Sudbury School Committee. Ellen Joachim and Sarah Chester are stepping down.

PRINCETON, Ind. (WFIE) - Princeton police are investigating a fire in the 100 Block of East Water Street.
Chief Derek McGraw tells 14 News they’re not ruling out arson as a possible cause for the fire. He says they do have a person of interest in the incident.
No one was hurt, and Chief McGraw says the fire was put out quickly.
The incident remains under investigation.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A new semester is at hand for thousands of Tri-State college students.
After most of them had an extended winter break, plans are finalized for the second half of the 2020-21 academic year.
14 News is learning additional details from the University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana. COVID-19 testing will be required at only one.
Starting on Saturday afternoon, UE students will be able to return to campus. The spring semester officially begins Tuesday.

JASPER, Ind. (WFIE) - When a struggling small town Indiana clothing store caught the attention of a national sports and pop culture blog, the result would be the relief they so desperately needed. COVID-19 has strained the bottom line on countless businesses across the county, even those that have been around for nearly a century.
Now a generous fund may keep some from calling the quits.
Siebert’s has been around since 1922. Employees will celebrate 99 years in January. Over the decades, the leadership there has changed. But, one thing stayed the same. The store has always been run by a Siebert.
