Buy now, pay later platform Atome launches in Malaysia

Arrives in Malaysia touting over 100 online and offline retailers on platform
Claims to have helped increase conversions by 17%; 30% increase over basket size
SINGAPORE-headquartered Buy now, pay later  (BNPL) platform Atome has launched its service in Malaysia, with the company claiming to have already onboarded over 100 online and offline retailers on its platform.
The company’s local market entry saw brands such as Agoda, ezbuy, Eu Yan Sang and Hush Puppies coming onboard to adopt Atome’s BNPL service as a payment option for their customers, it said in a statement. ....

Wrexham Council have said two businesses on Chester Street in Wrexham town centre, “Fresh Fades barbers shop and Lash Lab beauticians have each been served with a fixed penalty notice for £1000 for opening their premises and serving customers during the current lockdown”.
In a statement Wrexham council have said, “The law is quite clear that certain premises may not open and serve customers at the present time to prevent the spread of coronavirus. It’s also very clear that people should only be leaving their homes for essential purposes. ....
