asmn reported some disappointing results. for today on the earnings front we have alaska air and key corp reporting before the bell as well as netflix a little bit later in the day. on the data front you have initial jobless claims and existing home sales also being published today. >> meanwhile, boeing in its ongoing quality issues cost united airlines $200 million in the first quarter. tell us about that. >> it's been a bit of a tough start for the year for united airlines. as you'll remember they had to ground a fleet of 737 max 9 jets after the alaska airlines incident. they said this hit of $200 million for the first quarter. as a result united airlines posted a loss of $124 million in q1, but that was a little bit less than expected, which means the united shares were up 17% yesterday. but the issues at boeing will continue to impact united airlines going forward.
