I think trying to make nurses PhD-lite researchers has the many of the same problems and opportunities as trying to make them mini-software-engineers. We see a person we care about with a problem and it strikes us that a lot of people have the same problem and compassion meets curiosity and we wonder if there’s not a way to solve that problem once and for all.
