Cortina 2021: slopes, digital and safety these are the three key factors of the just ended World Championship event
Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL), 22 February 2021 (MOREL) – The 46th Alpine World Ski Championships have been concluded. With the men’s slalom and the closing ceremony, followed by the handover to the French delegation of Courchevel-Méribel 2023, Cortina 2021 takes her leave from the international stage, after two weeks of spectacular races and thrilling sports moments.
Despite the difficulties that marked the preparation phase, above all the Covid-19 pandemic, which dictated a closed-door event and an organisation of spaces and people never seen before – The World Championships succeeded in delivering optimal management of athletes (600), teams (from 70 countries), volunteers (approximately 700), technicians, press, and guests, in order to guarantee everyone’s health and safety. A success – unanimously recognised also by the international press -  made

Cortina 2021, the World Championships launch a message to protect our mountains and our oceans
Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL), 21 February (MOREL) - The Cortina 2021 Ski World Championships are coming to an end, an edition that has put responsibility and sustainability among its top priorities. Working first and foremost with the local territory, but also collaborating with erstwhile initiatives in the realm of environmental and social protection, to ensure that the event gives rise to other projects in the future, beyond the World Championships. This is why Fondazione Cortina 2021 has created
a network of different actors. This afternoon, to talk about the importance of protecting the mountains and the oceans, for our future and for generations to come, the meeting "Water between mountain and sea, two distant ecosystems, close together" was held, organized by Fondazione Cortina 2021 with the Municipality of Cortina d'Ampezzo, One Ocean Foundation, the Sole Cooperative and Federica Brignone with the "Liquid Trajectories" project.
