The Nifty posted its best weekly gain since 12 April 2020 by rising almost 10 percent. It also traded above 15000 for the first time while Nifty Bank gained over 16 percent last week.
Except for pharma, most other stock indexes were in the positive territory today. Among Nifty stocks, IndusInd Bank was the top gainer, up 3.11% followed by Tata Motors and BPCL, which gained 2.98% and 2.26% .
The Nifty extended its losing streak to 5 days in a row despite recovering more than 100 points intraday. The 50-stock index also snapped its 3 series winning streak by declining little over a percent.
