Answers about tax-exempt status. there are 19 groups that still don't have answers about their tax-exempt status. this is a complete outrage. what was striking to me watching the hearing this morning was jim mcdermott is a clown. he's, i think, one of the least serious members of congress out of 535. but what was striking to me is the number of otherwise serious democrats, good democrats who were taking the jim mcdermott line and essentially making the argument that jim mcdermott was, and you heard this from people like llo doggett of texas who kept talking about tax subsidies for these groups...
