The Nigerian Army has said that its combined troops of 63 Brigade with the Nigerian police and operatives of the Department of State Services shot dead two Eastern Security Network (ESN) fighters and arrested five others after an encounter in Asaba, Delta State. The army said in a release that the encounter followed distress calls that the community was under attack, adding that some of “the terrorists fled to their hideout around Okpanam river.”
