The £50 wavy hair tool our beauty director has used every week for a year

The £50 wavy hair tool our beauty director has used every week for a year
Yes, it's officially a 'crimper', but this cult hair tool will give you thoroughly modern waves

For many people, the past year has meant a break from hair styling, fewer hair tools and products because - well - why bother? But I did the opposite. Pre-pandemic I was very low-maintenance with my hair; a wash, quick blow dry and go. But I now use hair tools on the regular.
I have several on rotation, but the one I fell in love with during lockdown was the Deep Waves Tool by Babyliss. It’s is £50, but it can be found cheaper on lots of different sites. It’s basically a big hair crimper. Bear with, reader. It doesn’t do any crimping whatsoever; it just leaves the most impossibly professional-looking wave to the hair that makes you look instantly polished. It’s was my quick Zoom-ready hack: quickly use Deep Waves on my hair, a dab of concealer and a slick of lipstick, and I was done.

Anyone who has tried to master the trend of Parisian sexy, undone hair knows it is in fact, the opposite of effortless, and often requires you to strike the difficult balance between “just woke up bedhead” chic and “I haven’t slept in three days” texture.
Thankfully we can finally wave goodbye to hair envy; George Northwood, the man behind some of the world’s most coveted do’s (read: Alexa Chung and Meghan Markle) has masterminded his new UNDONE range, inspired by his signature natural style which has garnered the loyalty of models, actresses and beauty editors alike.
