Nigeria Labour Congress To Embark On Protests, Strike Actions In Imo Over Violation Of Workers Rights, Unpaid Salaries
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has expressed concern over the “persistent and egregious violations of the rights and privileges of workers in Imo State by the state government”. A statement signed by the NLC President on Sunday, Comrade Joe Ajaero, accused the state government of breaching agreements and violating the rights of workers in the state. The NLC lamented that some workers in the state were being owed 20 months' salaries, adding that 11,000 workers were being branded as ghost workers.
